Cider Roasted Gammon
Slow Cooker
Leaves the gammon with a sweet hint of apple.
Ingredients
-
1 Gammon Joint
-
2 Cans of Cider
Method
-
Place the gammon joint in the slow cooker
-
Empty the cider into a jug and heat until hot but not boiling (4 minutes in microwave). It is easiest to do this one can at a time
-
Add the cider to the slow cooker
-
Cook on low for about 10 hours until cooked (I use a meat thermometer)
-
Remove gammon from slow cooker and allow to cool before carving as it will be very tender and more easily cut when cold.
