Cider Roasted Gammon

Slow Cooker

Leaves the gammon with a sweet hint of apple.

Ingredients

  • 1 Gammon Joint

  • 2 Cans of Cider

Method

  1. Place the gammon joint in the slow cooker

  2. Empty the cider into a jug and heat until hot but not boiling (4 minutes in microwave). It is easiest to do this one can at a time

  3. Add the cider to the slow cooker

  4. Cook on low for about 10 hours until cooked (I use a meat thermometer)

  5. Remove gammon from slow cooker and allow to cool before carving as it will be very tender and more easily cut when cold.
