Freezing Peppers
Freezer
Peppers often tend to be available cheap on the reduced shelf or sold in multi-packs although many dishes only require one. In order to reduce waste and to ensure that you have peppers available when required you can freeze any which are unused.
Slice the peppers into thin strips and discard the seeds and pith (the white bit), place them in a freezer bag and freeze. In order to avoid freezer-burn they should be used within three months and when defrosted they will retain the crunchy bite which they had prior to being frozen.
